K–10 syllabus development background
In February 2016, the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), formerly the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES), commenced work on the review of Science and Technology K–6, Technology Mandatory Years 7–8, and PDHPE K–10 syllabuses.
Directions for Syllabus Development 2016
The Directions for Syllabus Development provide a blueprint for the development of the draft syllabuses. They provide instructions to writers about the scope and nature of content and other elements for inclusion in the draft syllabuses, based on consultation and actions in response to consultation.
The Directions for Syllabus Development consultation reports provide a summary of feedback received during consultation. The key matters raised and the actions in response to feedback have helped shape the development of draft syllabuses in each learning area.
